Business Development Intern
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Lead Generation
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industries, and growth opportunities
- Generate and qualify leads through online research, databases, and outreach campaigns
- Maintain and update customer and lead data in CRM or internal tracking systems
Sales & Customer Engagement Support
- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and introductory materials
- Support email, LinkedIn, and phone-based outreach initiatives
- Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and customer communications
Business Strategy & Analysis
- Assist in analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
- Support pricing studies, basic feasibility analysis, and opportunity assessments
- Help document customer feedback and convert insights into actionable inputs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, applications, and marketing teams to understand products and solutions
- Support internal coordination for demos, technical discussions, and customer visits
- Assist in event coordination, exhibitions, webinars, or seminars when required
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare basic reports on leads, outreach performance, and market insights
- Maintain organized documentation for proposals, presentations, and client interactions
- Support continuous improvement of business development processes
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields
- Strong interest in business development, sales, or strategy
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic understanding of B2B sales or industrial markets is an advantage
- Comfortable with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and basic online research tools
- Self-driven, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a team environment
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, renewable energy, or technology-driven businesses
- Familiarity with CRM tools or lead management systems
- Experience with LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, or market surveys
Work Environment
- Office-based with exposure to real customer and market-facing activities
- Opportunity to interact with senior leadership and technical teams
- May involve occasional travel for meetings, events, or site visits
