Key Responsibilities
International Sourcing & Vendor Research
- Identify and evaluate international suppliers and manufacturers for components, instruments, and subsystems
- Conduct vendor benchmarking based on cost, quality, lead time, and reliability
- Support RFQs, comparisons, and supplier shortlisting
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Assist in developing sourcing strategies to reduce cost, lead time, and supply risk
- Support make-or-buy analysis and supplier diversification planning
- Analyze demand trends and support procurement planning activities
Import–Export & Compliance Support
- Assist with documentation related to imports, exports, customs, and logistics
- Support coordination with freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics partners
- Help track shipments, lead times, and delivery performance
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to understand technical and commercial requirements
- Support coordination for international orders, follow-ups, and delivery tracking
- Assist in resolving supply-related issues and delays
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain sourcing databases, supplier records, and procurement trackers
- Prepare reports on supplier performance, cost analysis, and sourcing insights
- Support continuous improvement of internal supply chain processes and documentation
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, International Business, or related fields
- Strong interest in global sourcing, procurement, and supply chain strategy
- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis
- Willingness to learn about international trade and industrial supply chains
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Basic understanding of import–export procedures, INCOTERMS, and international logistics
- Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or B2B environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, or similar)
- Interest in cost optimization and supplier strategy building
Work Environment
- Office-based role with exposure to international suppliers and global supply chains
- Opportunity to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Limited travel or coordination across time zones as per project requirements
