The coating evaluation cell enables localised electrochemical testing on coated or bare metal sheets by sealing a defined circular area and creating a stable electrolyte reservoir over the surface. Available in 50 mL - 500 mL formats, it is ideal for rapid paint/film assessments, scribe studies, and inhibitor screening using polarisation or EIS.
A rigid body with chemical-resistant seals ensures consistent contact pressure and leak-free measurements, while ports accommodate a reference electrode and an inert counter electrode. This geometry lets you evaluate multiple sites on the same panel under repeatable conditions, saving materials and time. Typical test-spot diameters for similar fixtures are around 40–45 mm with thickness allowances of a few millimetres; select the insert that matches your panel thickness and surface finish. The cell interfaces readily with standard lab potentiostats and electrodes for corrosion work.
